I have seen many posting regarding how Office 2013 no longer has Picture manager, but the comments were mostly regarding editing images/photos. The MAIN reason I loved the program was that I was able to see and organize all the images on my computer aswell as be able to quickly make small edits. Is there another program out there like this?I am a graphic designer. I need quick access to all the images on my hard drive and NAS in order to find what I need to create the artwork/design. I need a way to sort, tag, edit, categorize quickly, efficiently.I have WINDOWS 7 Home Edition 64bitI have tried:.
PICASA - Google keeps changing/tweaking therefore it becomes more time consuming/tedious than it being worthwhile. Windows Picture Manager - takes far too long to load. I have Terabytes worth of images and need quick access to find images quickly and don't have time to wait for a program to reload every time I access it. Photo Gallery - same as above. I installed 2007 just so I could have Picture Manager, but it messes up my computer. Cant describe exactly how, but I have experienced many crashes, missing files, etc. I assume it creates an unstable environment.the list goes on and on.

What is Microsoft Office Picture Manager? The Microsoft Office Picture Manager is a photo management program with limited photo editing features, which had been largely superseded with Windows Live Photo Gallery since Windows 7. Part of the Office line since Office 2003, the Picture Manager replaced the aging Microsoft Photo Editor, but was itself replaced by the Windows Live Photo Gallery when the Live Essentials suite was formed.Essentially, the Picture Manager is an image viewer software, which allows images or photos to be accessed and viewed, unlike Paint (which is one of the two default image viewing software for Windows, at least until Windows XP) which would otherwise modify the image. The Picture Manager does not, unless modifications to the image were called up by the users themselves. The Office Picture Manager is able to display a wide variety of image file formats, except for GIF animation, which it would just display as a static image of its first frame. Pushing the limits human body. It also has limited photo editing functionalities, such as red-eye removal, noise reduction, sharpening, contrasting, and even batch saving, batch renaming, or batch conversion of images.
